Twenty years ago, George purchased a building at 13602 Floyd Circle in North Dallas and holds classes there on Monday and Wednesday evenings in the fall, winter and spring. Each class series runs for nine or ten weeks, with an average of eight students per class. These sessions are suitable for the beginner with little or no experience to the accomplished sculptor with years of art background. Beginning students start with a life size head, progressing to a one-half scale bust from waist up, then to full figure in future classes. Work is done in clay and may be cast in gypsum cement or other durable material. These may also be cast in bronze at a foundry if the quality of the work and the expense is justified. Figures may also be done in terra cotta, which is then fired. |
