My introduction to sculpture began with several years of study under Gene Gittings in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where I was also studying silver smithing in the early 1960’s. From 1966 to 1969 I continued my sculpture training at the University of Evansville in Indiana where I was also teaching jewelry making.

In 1969 I moved to Dallas and immediately started teaching figurative sculpture from live models. With the exception of three years when I was out of the country, I have been teaching continuously for over 30 years at my own studio.

Most of my sculpture involves portraits and figures. Occasionally I do abstract sculpture and also figure photography.

I have been on the board of directors of the Richardson Civic Art Society and the Texas Sculpture Association. My work has been shown in numerous exhibits in the Dallas area and I have received various awards over the past years.
